Pillow cases and bug bites

I am officially tired of summer! Everyday when I get dressed it feels like such a hassle because while I need to be finding something appropriate for the scorching heat, I am instead just dreaming about tights, scarves, long sleeves, and boots. Oh fall where are you??

Awhile ago I made a dress out of a pillowcase. I may or may not have stumbled across the idea somewhere online for a children's dress. I figured I am short enough that it just might work on me. Here is my attempt:

My legs are covered in either bug bites or bruises, story of my life!

I feel like this dress is missing something every time I try and wear it. Maybe elastic in the waist? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions!

I am in the process of working on a new necklace that I'm very excited about, so more to come about that soon.

  5. You're such a pillowcase queen. I mean, it's si pretty for a pillowcase-made dress. I personally love the dress this way... but maybe you can add some layers if you want to go out somewhere, like little leather belt or probably some nice cardigans. but the dress itself is perfect already.

  6. That's an adorable idea for a dress! One thing you could do to bring in the waist is attach some pretty ribbon to both sides and then tie a little bow in the back!

  7. hey, sorry for the invasion ehehe :)

maybe the elastic waist is a good idea. And maybe you could add a lace band at the and of the skirt, or something :)
