I had some big grand reveal post planned out in my head, but I'm too impatient for that! So here goes....
I have decided to try my hand at selling vintage things in my shop!! Now I decided this awhile ago, and have been working on it for quite awhile. And man alive, it's a lot of work! First off you have to find things to sell! And then fix them up/hem them, take pictures, measurements, decide what to price things at, and figure out what size to list things as. I know all of these are obvious things and steps to take, but you don't think about all the work involved until you sit down to do it all thinking it's a piece of cake. So that is why its taken me awhile to get my act together. I have a lot more to post, but its getting late so I have decided to save the rest for tomorrow. I applaud all of you ladies who appear to so effortlessly put together wonderful shop updates!!
will someone please please buy this coat before I take it down and keep it.. i DON'T need it!
I love love love this dress! And it was handmade!
I should also mention that I'm trying my hand at selling 'recycled' or refashioned vintage clothing. I've been sewing up random thrift store finds for myself for years, so I decided why not see if other people would like them as well. With these two blouses I mostly just took them in and added little ruffle sleeves, the original sleeves were really poofy and cheesy looking.
And finally, Monty (who is now mostly referred to as Minty) decided that she needed to help. She's getting very into girl things now that her true gender is out in the open. The other day she was climbing all over me to drink the sludge in the bottom of my coffee cup left from the french press (disgusting, but you really can't refuse a goat who is climbing all over you and sticking their hooves in you). While clamoring all over me she made my phone accidentally call a friend twice. Minty was just trying to drink coffee and chat on the phone with the girls. You know.
And now for goat story # two. Well actually, more like Monty story #2 (Lola is more well behaved). I made some really good bread (a french boule, but more on that later) and I decided to eat a piece during goat time/reading in a chair outside time. Big mistake. As it turns out, Monty LOVES bread. I wasn't about to share, so I kept pushing her off of me and my chair. After a few failed attempts, she jumps on my HEAD!!!!! My head!! Goat hooves on your head feel just lovely.
Oh, and p.s. Don't forget to enter the giveaway!!!
