Sew-sew-sewing!

I hope you are all having a good week, it seems crazy that it's already Wednesday tomorrow. Does anyone else feel like time is just constantly going by so fast? (haha, such a deep thought, I know) I have been working on cleaning and organizing this week, which is a job that shall never be finished! We have the most amazing new dresser that has been waiting to be refinished for months and is now done and in our room. If our room wasn't such a disaster from switching furniture in and out I'd have a picture to show. I'm also working on turning my somewhat makeshift craft room into something more usable so I can be a better worker and become busy as a bee.

Here are some dress ideas I have that will hopefully be made into real dresses and added to my etsy shop very soon. I think I have honestly spent like $75 ALL YEAR on clothing/shoes so I was able to save up for my ,hopefully, wonderful little serger coming in the mail tomorrow. This new toy should help speed up the process of making dresses! You are all also discovering right about now that I have terrible handwriting. The writing in these photos is honest to goodness my nicest handwriting possible. I have the penmanship of a five year old boy.

  3. your dress looks like it will be super cute when made, and i bet having a serger is going to be really nice! there's no way i could convonce my husband to agree to me getting a serger because he's the world's biggest cheapskate.

also, if your handwriting is that of a 5-year-old boy, my husband's is that on an infant! his boss still has to tell him to take his time and try to write a little neater!

  5. Oooh, that dress is tempting! I'm looking forward to see it.

I'd like to learn sewing but in my area is really hard to find an introduction course, if we could name like that what I'm looking for. They offer you long courses, I mean, in order to get a certificate, not to get some skills just for the pleasure of making your own clothes.
