New friends and corn!
This post is dedicated to making new friends! Two weeks ago Abi and I met up with this wonderful lady, Jessie, for an evening of walking around and sweet treats. We chose cupcake happy hour (buy one get one half off cupcakes? yes please) at the best bakery ever as the location for our first hang out. This turned out to be the best idea ever. Did I mention the happy hour also included playing bingo for free cupcakes? Well anyway, redheaded vintage-loving girls make the best new friends. She is the most perfect mix of friendliness, quirkiness, and silliness. Which is perfect for someone who spends their time singing to goats all day. Abi and I must've managed to keep the dumb inside jokes and poop jokes to a minimum, Jessie just hasn't figured out the truth yet!
While at cupcake bingo we made all sorts of plans for the future. Tea parties, photo shoots, ice skating, and a corn maze were put at the top of the agenda. Well the next weekend we hit up the corn maze. It was awesome! Lots of corn. Lots of short see-through corn made up the maze, but we managed to get all turned around anyway. We packed cupcakes and apple cider in the car, so we had a feast after becoming famished from the maze. There were pig races, a fire, and lots of goats. Speaking of, these goats didn't scream and yell at us and didn't all look pregnant. Whats up with that?

The highlight of the evening though was probably this blow up bouncy slide for kids. Let's just say no kids got a chance at using that thing for quite awhile. I have decided the absolute ultimate test of whether or not someone is great friend material, is if they don't turn and run when you start yelling and jumping and diving down a slide, oh and squealing. But no! Our new friend just joined right in! That is, until our husbands and friend took over and spent like 30 minutes giggling and wrestling. Do all grown men do this?
* neither person pictured here is me. I ripped the heck out of my tights, that's how into the slide I was
Thank you for sticking with this jumbled up story, I make no sense most of the time! Stay posted for our next best of friends event, it will possibly involve cupcakes, tea parties, and fancy dressing up!
p.s. all photos with me in them were taken by Patrick. He wanted to make sure he received a proper photo credit. ha
