Help Me Rhonda!

Tonight is my last night at home for awhile! A little advice for anyone preparing for a trip: prepare at least a whole day in advance so you can spend your last night relaxing, possibly in bed watching a movie or reading. Maybe even have a little dessert made for yourself, take a load off. Is that what I'm doing right now you ask? Nope, nope it sure isn't. The nice sunny sky decided to dump a bunch of rain on our drying clothes today(we don't have a dryer anymore), the sink is full of dishes, our bedroom is in shambles, and who knows what else! Whoopsies.

So here are some pretty pictures of what I wish packing looked like, and since there's no way you want to see me crouching on the floor surrounded by piles of clothes, with my hair sticking out every which way and big bags under my eyes...let's just pretend this is what my packing looks like!

And now what I really wish I was going to be doing right now....

  1. These photos are lovely, I wish my packing looked like this too, but sadly mine is also rather disorganised. Sorry about all your clothes though, that is possibly the most annoying thing I've ever heard!

  3. Good luck with the packing! And I would have to agree about packing early, because what I find is that I always forget something. Even with packing early, I can still forget something LOL.

  4. haha awwww that last photo!!

Have a wonderful trip! I don't think anyone ACTUALLY looks like that packing. I have always thought it would be cool to be the dude on the airport scanner who sees into peoples bags - you would be well-versed in packing conventions. I wonder if anyone has those perfectly symmetrical folded piles?

  7. Hehe, very amusing post. I too must pack for a trip this week, so a bag full of stylish outfits must be assembled. Years ago I used to stress about this stuff, now I am better at it, and it saves time (so, more for dessert-eating and cat naps). I think about the outfits I will wear there, before I ever go near the wardrobe. Works for me!

  10. Oh i desperately love that packing trunk (the big one) i found one at an antique store once, for $1200. Life can be so unjust, though i am glad to know they still exist in the world! Good luck!
