Livin' the glamorous dream

Well folks, here I am, on tour, again. We started off with a festival in the Midwest and let me tell you something, it was hot. Like really hot. And this particular festival is completely outdoors, there aren't any air-conditioned spaces to hide in, not even bathrooms! I don't particularly enjoy the heat or the outdoors when heat is involved, so it takes something big and exciting to make me look forward to weekends like this. Luckily one such event existed this time around.... friends!! I would like you to meet Melisa. She is awesome and we have known each other for, oh I don't know, 6 years I think. We refer to each other as 'bff', everyone I know ends up with a nickname of some sort, so that is hers. Our husbands have toured together a lot, she loves kitties and dogs, crafts, and food! Did I also mention she is also one half of my favorite sister duo (besides my own sisters of course)? Her sister Danielle is equally amazing and funny.

Anyway, as a way to put our feet down and take a stand against the miserable heat...we left the festival. Yeah, we are crazy like that. So crazy in fact that we found ourselves at Kmart eating crazy bread and drinking wild cherry pepsi (in a town with literally NOTHING to do, you have to get creative). So needless to say, things got a bit wild and crazy.  I am trying my hardest to plan a possible Pittsburgh trip/mini vacation for myself so the three of us can eat more food, tell more jokes, stalk celebrities, eat more food, and get more crazier <-- evidence that it's past my bedtime

Touring is so glamorous!

  1. Aw, they look like such sweet girls! I'm from the Midwest, so I know all too well about the summer heat and boredom. Try to find yourself a Meijer and you'll be entertained for hours. :)

  7. Did Showbread play at Cornerstone Fest? Maybe one day I'll go to that. I wanted to go back when the Psalters played. Do you think my sons should be older when they go (they will be 5.5 and 3.5 years old for next year's). Just don't know if they're too young for a full weekend for it. I've been wanting to go to C-Fest for a good 8-10 years. haha.

  13. Was it cornerstone? My husband played mainstage there on saturday night it was so hot! I had our 3 little ones with us. Thank goodness for popsicles and the fact that no one minds my baby running around in just a diaper :) Maybe we'll run into each other at a festival sometime
